Cab Savingnon

Posted by: Moose, Saturday, March 06, 2010

I am interested in making a cab sav kit. I have made 8 to 10 kits in past 8 months of various whites and a couple of reds, Malbec & Pinot Noir. I like both these reds really well especially the Malbec. I would like to make a Cab Sav that would have something like a 2 on the oak scale and maybe a 3 on the body with 0 sweetness. After looking in all the wine catalogs and there being several Cabs listed, I would like to have someones opinion that has made it before. Can anyone help me out on this with giving me their preferences on a good Cab. I realize everyone taste is different but I would like your opinions
Thanks again
Morris

Use the online catalogue and sort out the cab sauv, then look for the ones that have won awards. Then figure out what you can afford to make from those winners.

That's what I would do.

Thanks - that is a good idea. I would also like the opinions of other wine makers that have made a cab before
